Stepping Out Club is a social club for adults with Learning Disabilities, who have a reasonable amount of independance. The club is run by its members and we actively encourage everyone to participate inthe decision making.
During the Covid pandemic, the club has not run. We would normally meet every Monday, except for the second Monday of each month or bank holiday Mondays, from 7.30pm to 9pm, and meet at Church House, Church Street, Dereham. It would normally cost £1.50 to attend, plus money for the tuck shop.
We try to organise a different activity for each meeting, this includes playing bingo and board games, going bowling and having music and craft sessions.
It is important for our members to integrate within the community, so we organise trips to the coast and support other organisations via sponsored walks. Most importantly, it is a fun club and a great way to develop new friendships.
